Finally
have a morning to sit down at home.
There are fifteen must-do things pressing but still I don’t have to get
in a cab and go any where for another four hours. Overshot the twenty-post summary marker again last night.
Realized it, post already written earlier in the day, flying around in a
cab. So today we’ll reckon with
all that’s been covered in the last twenty days. Looking over the various
titles, I smile. I think we have
too many cab-ride entries these days.
We have another, by this I mean a third, railroad slasher
case in China. This time it was in
Guangzhou. Uyghur’s,
apparently. China must
reconsider its policy in Xinjiang, but nothing justifies running up to random
people and slashing them. Every
time this happens I have an odd reflex, and muse on how much worse it would be
in the U.S., where someone would invariably get their hands on an automatic
weapon, making the carnage infinitely worse. These repeated incidents will soon make travel all the more
of a nuisance in China. I am
sure.
I tried to watch, what appeared to be a very cool video on
the NY Times profiling a jumping desert spider. But the thing loaded up so slowly I gave up. My Booker Ervin on Rdio is streaming no
problem. Outside they are banging
away. I’d love to hope these gents
are done with this damn porch they’re building my neighbors to the rear, by the
time my next summary twenty comes due.
Some good milestones though noted, internally, on this last passage of
twenty. It’s getting interesting
and very busy.
